Fluidigm BioMark

The Fluidigm system consistes of the Biomark and two IFC controllers (one for the 48×48 assay and the other for the 96×96 assay). The Biomark is a high through-put real-time PCR instrument which uses specially designed microfluidics chips to run thousands of reactions at once. Applications include gene expression, single cell gene expression, SNP genotyping, copy number variation, and sample quantification for sequencing. The fluidigm biomark array for real-time PCR comes in a 48 x 48 format to run 48 samples against 48 assays to perform 2304 reactions and a 96 x 96 format to perform 9216 reactions. The digital PCR array runs 48 samples and 16 assays for a total of 768 reactions per sample. Protocols are available which support Taqman assays and Evagreen assays. The IFC controllers prepare the microfluidics chips to be run on the Biomark.
